The WIN NutriShakti Project, launched on 4th July 2025 in collaboration with Aagamya Foundation, continues to create pathways for women from low-income communities to become nutrition-aware entrepreneurs.
Over the three-month training program, participants learned the fundamentals of healthy cooking, food production, and business management. On 15th October 2025, around 20 women graduates proudly received their Nutri-preneur certificates, marking a key milestone in their journey toward self-reliance.
As part of their practical learning, the trainees produced 30 kg of nutritious snacks for Diwali sales, managing every step—from planning and production to marketing and profit-sharing. This hands-on experience helped them gain both confidence and real business skills.
Adding a touch of celebration, a Healthy Cooking Competition held on 19th September 2025 showcased the creativity of 11 trainees. Two teams tied for first place, impressing judges with their taste, nutrition, and presentation—a true reflection of teamwork and innovation.
In Machharda village (Rajkot, Gujarat), the community-led Nutrition Project, implemented by the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), is progressing steadily. New nutritious recipes are being introduced, and a new production center is under construction with joint support from WIN Foundation, CEE, and local community contributions. These collaborative efforts are paving the way for encouraging outcomes in the coming quarter.
WIN-supported projects with Saath and Chetna continue actively at their respective centers. Women are engaged in producing and marketing nutritious festive products, while Chetna is also conducting food trials and business development sessions to strengthen women’s entrepreneurial capacity.
NutriGarden Project: Implemented in partnership with the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), the NutriGarden Project promotes nutrition-sensitive gardening and sustainable food practices in Jasdan, Kalawad, and Machharda villages. Women participants are cultivating a diverse range of fruits, vegetables, and herbs using organic, water-conserving methods.
Following the GangaMa model, the communities have achieved encouraging vegetable yields this season, improving access to fresh, nutritious food while strengthening household food security and environmental awareness at the grassroots level.
To support healthier plant growth and improved family nutrition, soil testing is being undertaken to assess nutrient availability. The findings help identify nutrient gaps and guide natural, eco-friendly soil improvement practices. Awareness among women Nutri-Gardeners is steadily increasing, with many recognizing the positive impact of soil testing on soil health and the nutritional quality of their produce.

Movie Title SOIL TO SOUL धरती से जीवन A message from the Nutrigarden Initiative – Empowering communities through knowledge
Soil to Soul is a story of transformation—showing how healthy soil creates healthy food, families, and communities. In Lilapur, Gujarat, Sangita-ben once saw food only as a way to fill the stomach. After training through the Nutrigarden Initiative, she learned to make compost, use organic methods, and grow nutrient-rich vegetables in the Ganga Ma Model.
Her thriving garden improved her family’s nutrition, reduced illnesses, and inspired other women to follow. The Nutrigarden model—built on sustainability, seed saving, and community training—has led to better diets, lower anemia rates, improved school attendance, and stronger women leaders.
Through one woman’s journey, the film proves that when soil thrives, communities flourish. Change begins right under our feet
