Vasna area - 30 women were on board in the first phase
The first phase of the program was focused on the followings
Creating an understanding for the need of nutritious food among all age groups
Expose community women entrepreneurs to develop healthy and hygienic cooking recipes and practices
Create Demand or Pull for nutritious food and hygiene among poor communities through awareness and habit formation programs, through women field health workers training and tracking and supporting their counselling activities among mothers and communities.
Address the Supply or Push factors by training and supporting women led microenterprises for nutritious food production and sale to community. This includes training and handholding them for all aspects of business.
Phase - 2 - April-23
Saath has extended their nutrition project areas to three more regions (i) Jaipur city and (ii) 2 more areas in Ahmedabad city, targeting population of appz 30,000
Project areas extended - along with Vasna - Danilimda,Berampura, Fatewadi, in Ahmedabad city and Jaipur in Rajasthan
Phase - 2 - total 5 Central KItchens
• Identifying women entrepreneurs who have successfully completed the Phase 1
• Identifying groups who are willing to scale-up their home-based enterprises.
• Work closely with women groups on market scoping, positioning of products
developed, market pricing, business of scale, registrations and brand building.
