Mr. Ron Mehta, President, WIN Foundation was conferred with the IIT Gandhinagar Institute Fellow Award at their convocation on 29th June, 2024.
Excerpt from the citation read out by Prof. Rajat Moona, Director, IIT Gandhinagar"...Mr. Mehta worked tirelessly to increase visibility and reputation of IIT Gandhinagar at various forums significantly. Through his extraordinary generosity, Mr, Mehta established several scholarships, initiated a range of innovative programs and championed the cause of IIT Gandhinagar in India and abroad....... Mr. Mehta contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing the academic and research ecosystem and promoting a culture of excellence at IIT Gandhinagar".
WIN Foundation is proud of the above award for Mr. Ron Mehta, President of WIN Foundation. Mr. Ron Mehta initiated the WIN Foundation's deep association with IIT Gandhinagar, under which WIN Foundation has sponsored and worked with IIT Gandhinagar on several projects in Water and Sanitation as well as Maternal and Child Health. Our current project under health, involves IIT Gandhinagar faculty providing innovation and technology support for our grassroot community women nutri-preneurs for making nutritious food products. We have also engaged with students of IIT Gandhinagar, providing them exposure to the innovation adoption process at grassroots.
12th Aarogya Film Festival
WIN Foundation’s documentary film on
` Addressing Community Malnutrition through a sustainable market-based approach ‘
was selected and screened at the 12th Aarogya Film Festival (https://aarogyafilmfestival.in/) organized by PM Shah Foundation, held on 23rd & 24th February 2024 at National Film Archives (NFAI), Law College Road Pune
The festival was inaugurated by Dr.Abhijit Vaidya,Founder National Chief Arogya Sena, Founder Director Smita Patil International Film Festival
The awards are conferred by Mr. Virendra Valsangkar, Renowned National Award Winner Film Maker
WIN Foundation’s movie was among 40 documentary films selected for screening out of 150 submitted documentary films.

Socio CSR Film Festival - Best Healthcare Excellence CSR Film
WIN Foundation’s Nutrition documentary film, WINning against Malnutrition, won the Best Healthcare Excellence CSR Film` award at the 2nd Socio CSR Film Festival, “India’s largest CSR Film Festival”, organised by Socio Corpo India Pvt. Ltd., at Pune on 18th March’2023

UN 2023 Water Conference
WIN Fondation was a partner for Water Bank Foundation Trust, in organizing "Water Action for Sustainable Development", under the UN 2023 Water Conference, held from 23rd March to 24th March at New York.

Mr. Ruyintan Mehta, WIN President, participated in the conference, representing WIN Foundation as an accredited organization to UN. At the conference, WIN, with WHEELS Global Foundation as a co-funding partner, signed an agreement for 8 plants for arsenic removal in rural Eastern India, with VAS Bros. Ent. Pvt. Ltd. VAS has developed the plants, licensing a technology pioneered at IIT Kharagpur, it uses a media processed from laterite material, abundantly available in soil.

WIN Foundation Felicitated by AMC - Health Department
WIN Foundation is committed to work for mother and child nutrition, and support multi-stakeholder efforts in this.
AMC-Amdavad Municipal Corporation – Health Department organised an event on 4th August’22 to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week at Ahmedabad Management Association. More than 500 health workers participated in the celebration followed by a seminar by Dr.Sagar Panchal on techniques of breast feeding. The force of trained health workers are now playing an active role as ambassadors (master trainers) for conducting training on “First 1000 days – Maternal & Child Nutrition” (Training of Trainers) for the field health workers and counseling mothers.
AMC, Health department felicitated health workers from each Zone of Ahmedabad for their excellent performance in training the lactating mothers on breast feeding techniques and bringing in the change in behaviour in the community
On this special occasion AMC, Health department and Ahmedabad Mayor Shri Kiritbhai Parmar, recognised and felicitated WIN Foundation for its support and contribution in the AMC Mother and Child Nutrition efforts.
WZC 2022 Social Entrepreneur Award given to Ron, President, WIN Foundation
Mr. Ruyintan (Ron) Mehta, President of WIN Foundation , was given the Social Entrepreneur Award, for promoting social entrepreneurship to advance societies and address social problems as part of the “World Zarathushti Community Award” – at the 12 World Zoroastrian Congress 2022 NYC, held at New York over 1-4 July 2022.
For the past decade, Ron has made outstanding contributions to social impact activities including in Education, Water and Health. and devoted himself fulltime to become an active Social Entrepreneur.
